CONSPIRACY LOVE: Intriguing Entertainment And Written by Reginald A. Craig

If one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind could put the world on notice who’s the Master, would you Sho Nuff?

 

THE OBSERVER:

I dibble and dabble as a novice in conspiracy theories. Over the years I've grown skeptical of many topics in life. It all started when I was a very young boy, my brother introduced me to the subject of Area 51. (Disclaimer: Before I proceed I neither claim or deny any specific achievements by America that defy the laws of physics).

Did man actually step on the moon or did NASA fake it Hollywood style? Rumor has it NASA built a studio in Nevada / Area 51 to fill-in the difficult angles for televising a moon landing. The idea was it would help us layman to follow the voyage seamlessly, kinda like translating Morse Code or something… Personally I find it particularly entertaining to watch videos of debates analyzing the space race to the moon. From my armature research I have found interesting debunking attempts from both sides. It seems that the biggest proclaimed "non disputed" proof of a moon landing is with the planting of reflectors (lunar retro package) by astronauts on the moons surface at the Apollo 11 site. The reflections are captured here on earth by a laser beam initiated from high up in the Davis Mountain Range at the McDonald Observatory in Texas.

For decades a team of engineers have been firing a laser beam at the reflector experiment on average 240 times a year and gathering information since 1969. The laser hits the apparatus and is reflected back as a series of invisible pulses. The exercise is called Lunar Laser Ranging. Scientist calculate distance and position with a computer displaying coordinates only in numeric output. The difficult issue I have with this proof is that even when using a powerful world class telescope, the evidence is not visible to the human eye. This conclusion will keep me forever intrigued and yearning to learn more.

THE ECCENTRIC:

A couple years ago my daughter quizzed me a quick random question that seemed to come out of no where. She simply asked me what color is Pikachu of Pokémon and does he have a stripe on his tail? I answered the obvious; yellow, and I might of said yes for a black stripe. Mysteriously no more questions, I don't remember if she confirmed or even showed me an image.

Well anyway, I went right back to what I was doing; watching TV or maybe flipping through a magazine. I thought nothing more of it until recently by complete coincidence I learned of this situation called The Mandela Effect:

The Mandela effect is an observed phenomenon in which a large segment of the population misremembers a significant event or shares a memory of an event that did not actually occur. Fiona Broome, a paranormal researcher, coined the term to describe collective false memory when she discovered that a significant number of people at a conference she was attending in 2010 shared her memory that Nelson Mandela had died in prison during the 1980s. In fact, the former president of South Africa was released from prison in 2009 and was very much alive at the time of the conference.

2018 was a rough year for Bill Cosby. Like many others I don't condone Mr. Cosby’s inappropriate rendezvouses with the ladies. However, notable co-stars including Sinbad have come to defend Bill’s legacy. Note: Please know that Bill Cosby is not the subject of my blog, but only referenced here to segue into my Mandela Effect story, Enjoy!

I thought man… I haven’t heard from Sinbad in years, I gotta Google what he’s been up to lately. Check it out! Sinbad (David Adkins) a Michigan Native rose to fame because of his comedic chops and affiliation with The Cosby Show spinoff - A Different World.

I’m tellin’ you this guy in the 90’s was a household name, even my wife who at the time lived traditionally Hmong was familiar with his celebrity. So, anyway back to what I was saying. I learned that these day’s Mr. Adkins has returned to stand up, but this time around incorporating a guitar in his act as Memphis Red and the Stank Nasty Band. As I’m taking in all this newly discovered entertainment I must scratch the itch to go back and check out his Filmography, specifically this Genie movie I remember him in. Before his limelight fizzled Sinbad stared in a few movies; Houseguest, Jingle All The Way and First Kid. Hmmmm… I’m looking and looking but no Shazam! 

This is Crazy, can't be??? People have posted similar accounts of this movie but no tangible evidence of it ever existing. My search turns frantic and now I’m immersed into the realm of The Mandela Effect. Continued search only leads me down the worse rabbit hole, Parallel Universe and dimensions of alternate reality. HOLD ON!!!… I can’t buy into this stuff, I mean I love the concept of Back To The Future and all but nothing ever felt so real. What finally slapped me out of the trance was a video from the comedian himself. In 2017 Sinbad cleverly played into the Mandela Effect by creating an elaborate April Fools short film spoof titled Shazam / Shazaam. The production quality was recorded VHS grade depicting an overload of hidden Mandela Effect symbols and of course the Genie.

MIND MANIPULATION:

The Mandela Effect can easily follow the path to Conspiracy Theory. The danger of assigning False Memory to this category, (or any for that matter) is it becomes subject to being redefined. The misuse of a phenomenon will challenge its legitimacy and make steady believes easy to exploit. Combine the power of the web and you can tangle up the unsuspecting mind into a dark mystical world where Elvis and Tupac are still alive. Don’t do it, just don’t. 

It would benefit the powerful to disguise truth by hijacking a popular category, almost like money laundering facts. Could you imagine the Government using a Social Experiment with the Mandela Effect to rewrite history or erase it as we once thought it to be? With the internet it’s possible to manipulate and sensor anything, especially now everything is going digital. For those who go vigilante, Image and facial recognition software apps can detect opposition and have contested uploaded content removed by order of Big Brother. And for evidence that slips through the cracks intended to enlighten the population wont be trusted anyway, because we've all been conditioned to think like our constituents.

 

CLOSING THOUGHTS:

Conspiracies are intriguing but don’t take it too seriously. Avoid research beyond 10 minutes or you’ll find yourself perplexed. Mandela Effect websites themselves might even feed on creating hysteria to increase web traffic. Sometimes in life the truth is purposely hidden from us, and the more we try to find it the further away it gets.
